Faculty and staff have degrees in education and/or are experienced in their field of expertise. Faculty and staff training

sessions in the areas of philosophy and methodology that are specific to the Academy remain ongoing in an effort to support continuity in the program.
The Academy for Individual Excellence is identified as a family-oriented school striving to create a natural environment that is low risk and conducive to encouraging high motivation and self-direction. It is believed that this type of environment fosters a child’s natural love of learning and allows each child to be inspired and, in return, inspire others. By emphasizing basic skills, the staff puts in place a foundation for the well-rounded, lifelong pursuit of knowledge.
The Academy’s approach to the diverse student population is unique in that each child is allowed to be evaluated according to their ability. Our goal is individual success; the reward is high self-esteem and valuable life skills.
The Academy believes that all children have the natural desire to achieve and will succeed and learn best by experiencing success. It is believed that children are empowered most when their participation in the journey is seen as more significant than the measurable outcome. We believe that enabling the child to experience success in learning is vital and more important than just teaching the material.
