| DISCIPLINE: The State of Kentucky does not allow physical discipline in day care centers, even with the parent’s permission. We will be using behavior modification in the form of time out. We have found this to be successful in most circumstances. If a child displays unacceptable behavior, he/she will be sent to a time out chair for a short period of time. Time in the chair will be one minute for each year of the child’s age. Uncontrollable running, foul language, biting, hitting, and disrespect for the staff will not be tolerated. The director reserves the right to counsel with you if your child has a behavioral problem or to ask you to withdraw your child from the school if the problem is not able to be resolved. If you are asked to withdraw your child, you will be given a one-week notice to locate another childcare facility. |
